Description
An educational trip to a small town about an hour of ride north-west off Prague that was built in the late 18th century by the Habsburg monarchy and its then emperor Joseph II to face an ever growing Prussian threat and symbolically named after the emperor's famous mother Maria Theresa, the Theresienstadt, or Terezín. It wasn’t however its military use and importance that made the town best known throghout the world, but the infamous Concentration/Prison camp and the Jewish ghetto established and used for their propaganda purposes by the Nazis during the Second World War. A must see trip for those interested in the history of Second War and the Holocaust.
